Mark Rubbert
Head Instructor and Executive Director of Saint Louis Ki
Society
Mark Rubbert began training in 1979 with William
Reed. Since 1983, he has trained regularly with Koichi
Kashiwaya, Midland Ki Federation Chief Instructor. He
travels at least five times each year to national and regional
conferences to train with Ki Society's top instructors.
He frequently trained with Ki Society founder Koichi
Tohei both in the US and in Japan.
Along with teaching regularly, Mark Rubbert oversees all
instructional matters of the organization and the testing
for rank and advancement under the supervision of Midland
Ki Federation Chief Instructor Koichi Kashiwaya. He is also
an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors and plays
an active role in Saint Louis Ki Society organizational
and business affairs.
For 30 years and until June 2001, Mr. Rubbert worked in
the construction, maintenance and remodeling trades. He
operated his own business for 8 years. The Saint Louis Ki
Society has employed Mr. Rubbert full time since August
1, 2001. On May 14, 2005, he was awarded a certificate in
Nonprofit Organization Management and Leadership by the
University of Missouri - St. Louis.
